Comprehensive Tax & Legal Advisory for Individuals and Corporations

We are a tax‑oriented legal boutique focused on international clients investing in Spain. Our core strength—and what truly sets us apart—is delivering fully integrated tax and legal advisory for property acquisitions coordinating with qualified practising lawyers: strategic planning first, precise legal execution second. This approach allows foreign investors to structure their purchase intelligently, protect their assets, and maximise long‑term returns.

We provide a comprehensive range of tax and legal services for non‑residents investing in Spain, whether for business or lifestyle: conveyancing, tax planning, residency matters, Beckham Law, company formation, personal income tax, corporate tax, inheritance tax, double tax treaty analysis, compliance, and disclosure.

We also offer full accounting and administrative support for companies, working seamlessly with the finance teams of non‑Spanish parent corporations and providing structured reporting. Our experience extends to tax audits, investigations, and administrative courts—areas where our technical expertise and strategic approach consistently deliver results.

Moving to Spain

Relocating to Spain is more than an administrative process — it is a major life and financial transition that requires careful tax planning.

Countries often have different tax years, residency rules, and reporting obligations, which can create exposure to double taxation if not addressed in advance. Understanding how your home country interacts with the Spanish system is essential to avoid unnecessary tax burdens.

Wealth planning becomes critical, especially since very few jurisdictions apply taxes comparable to the Spanish Wealth Tax.

Preparing early ensures a smooth transition, protects your assets, and positions you for long‑term financial efficiency in Spain.

Buying your House in the Sun

Falling in love with your dream home in Spain is easy — that part belongs to the heart. Buying it with legal certainty and tax efficiency is intelligent — that part requires strategy.

For decades in the Costa del Sol, tax advisers were merely ancillary to lawyers, often brought in only after the transaction was completed, when it was too late to make meaningful decisions. At OPENTAX, we reverse that logic.

The purpose of the investment, the value of the property, the buyer’s personal circumstances, the financing method, and the long‑term plans all shape the optimal way to structure a purchase.

With integrated tax planning and legal execution from the outset, we ensure that your home in the sun is not only beautiful, but also secure, efficient, and strategically designed.

Your Business in Spain

Spain is a wonderful place to retire or enjoy holidays, but building a business here requires expertise, structure, and strategic tax planning. We guide you from A to Z: choosing the right vehicle for your activity, incorporating the company, registering with the authorities, managing bookkeeping, and ensuring full compliance with Spanish tax obligations. We also connect you with trusted professionals and companies that may support your project, and keep you updated with the latest regulations and legal developments.

In Spain, the authorities are effectively your business partner — whether you like it or not — and they hold a significant stake in your results. Having the right tax and legal professionals is essential to ensure that this relationship is efficient, profitable, and fully compliant. At OPENTAX, we provide the clarity, structure, and ongoing support that international entrepreneurs need to succeed.

Beckham Law

If you are considering moving to Spain for work, the special expat tax regime known as the Beckham Law may offer significant tax advantages—provided you meet the eligibility criteria.

This optional regime allows qualifying individuals to become tax residents in Spain while being taxed as non‑residents, meaning you pay tax only on Spanish‑source income at a flat rate of 24% on earnings up to €600,000, and 45% on the excess. Exceptionally, employment income earned abroad is also taxed in Spain under this regime. Spanish-source dividends, interest and capital gains are generally taxed under the savings income rates applicable within the special regime.

For many professionals relocating to Spain, the Beckham Law provides a highly efficient way to structure their tax position during the first years of residence.

Check whether you meet the requirements to apply for this special tax regime and pay close attention to the deadlines. Proper tax planning before taking any action is essential to avoid mistakes and ensure you benefit from the regime in the most efficient way!
